Bumper year for The Boodles

The Boodles Tennis Tournament looks set to celebrate the most successful year in its history, thanks to sell-out crowds and bumper sales of corporate entertainment and sponsorship packages for the 2011 event, which will be held 14-18 June at Stoke Park. General tickets for The Boodles final, scheduled for Saturday 18 June, are already sold-out and demand is so high that tournament organisers have had to put a waiting list in place.

With more than a month to go before the grass-court tournament gets underway, ticket sales for the event are already up on 2010 sales, with other days selling out fast. Sales of the tournament’s luxury corporate hospitality packages, which include sumptuous food and drink as well as the opportunity to meet the players and watch world-class tennis, are already up on the 2010 tournament, which itself saw an increase in sales from 2009. Corporate hospitality packages are sold out on two of the five days for 2011.

The event also enjoys long-term sponsorship partnerships with elite brands including Boodles, Patek Philippe, Chubb Insurance and Jaguar. “There is always a market for luxury and we’re delighted with how things are looking for the 2011 event,” said Tournament Director and Founder Patricio Apey. “The Boodles is a fantastic success story and it goes from strength to strength each year because we offer a unique luxury sporting experience that people want to be part of.”

Six of the eight world class players competing at this year’s The Boodles tournament have already been confirmed, with Gael Monfils, David Nalbandian, Sam Querrey, Viktor Troicki, Marcos Baghdatis and David Ferrer all set to compete in what will be their last tournament before Wimbledon, which starts on Monday 20th June.
