The tennis world could easily have lost this Spaniard to football, his father was a professional footballer and as a youngster Roberto played for Villarreal C.F. until the age of 14.  Fortunately he chose tennis and ‘Bati’ as he is known to his friends returns to The Boodles after making his debut in 2017.

Bautista Agut has been a permanent fixture in the Top 20 rankings since 2016 and has climbed back to his career high of 13 thanks to two tournament wins already in 2018 in Dubai and Auckland.
